We’re pleased to announce this year’s Council Scholarship recipients!
Each year, we award $2,000 scholarships to students from around Wisconsin who are blind or low vision and will be enrolled in post-secondary education in the fall. Past recipients have used the scholarship funds in a variety of ways to help fuel their college experience. In addition to standard schooling costs like tuition, books and housing, students with vision loss take on a variety of additional expenses, such as adaptive devices and access technology. Transportation barriers force many students to use more expensive alternatives to get around. Many recipients have told us that the scholarship enabled them to spend fewer hours working a part-time job and devote more time to their studies.
This year’s recipients are:

Jasmine Bertschy
Valders
UW-Whitewater

Alyson Dahl
Pleasant Prairie
New York University (NYU)

Kaylee Mueller
Campbellsport
UW-Green Bay

Mia Zutter
Sun Prairie
Northern Illinois University
Congratulations to all of this year’s recipients!
